VGIFT (Veterans of Georgia in Film & TV) members have gained work on feature films and television projects in various roles as production assistants, extras, cast and crew members, as a result of the training they received in the program.

Credits for members of VGIFT include I, Tonya (the Tonya Harding Story), Mine 9, Den of Thieves, Escape Plan 2, Georgia Public Broadcasting Membership Campaign, a VH1 Special Taping, and feature television series, The Resident and MacGyver. A graduate of the program has been awarded a seasonal role on The Walking Dead.

Atlanta Veterans Working On Feature Films & TV Shows
The Atlanta Veterans Association's program, VGIFT (Veterans of Georgia in Film & Television) educates, trains and provides placement assistance for Veterans seeking careers and employment in Georgia's Film & Television industry.

VGIFT offers short and long term intensive training programs ranging from production assistant, script writing, film production, directing, cinematography, photography, lighting & grip, editing, and more.  Programs are structured to encompass all aspects of Georgia's multibillion dollar entertainment industry.  

VGIFT members can apply for grants, scholarships and tuition discounts or may be eligible for free training programs. 

VGIFT membership is free to veterans. ($25 annual registration fee applies)

​VGIFT Member Awarded Internship At Eagle Rock Studios Atlanta

VGIFT member Kent Roland began a four week Stage Technician internship at Eagle Rock Studios Atlanta in June, 2017.  Mr. Roland will perform the duties at the facility in Norcross, Georgia with such tasks as opening the facility, ensuring its cleanliness and any maintenance requirements that productions require.

​Eagle Rock Studios Hires VGIFT Veteran

Upon successfully completing a four week Stage Technician internship at Eagle Rock Studios Atlanta in July of 2017 Beth Talbert, Vice President of Eagle Rock Studios offered Kent Roland the position of Stage Technician. Mr. Roland earnestly accepted and began working in his new capacity. The studio credits Mr. Roland as being an excellent team player with great work ethics.  Terrell Sandefur, Production Training Liaison for the Atlanta Veterans Association who coordinates the internships with film and television studios throughout the state on behalf of veterans is proud of Kent and seeks to offer more veterans an internship opportunity withEagle Rock beginning in 2018.
